The latest version of Cadence tools is running on the College of Engineering's LINUX compute servers. Cadence is started up on the Linux systems the same as it is on the Solaris platform. To start Cadence enter the following command: "virtuoso". This command replaces the "icfb" command. Given that the underlying file management system has changed, older models of Cadence cannot be opened directly with the new version.
