EasyCopy
EasyCopy is an application for technical professionals working with graphics. EasyCopy seamlessly integrates six modules for your use : Capture, Movie Creator, ZapView, Montage, Conversion, Printing. Capture, annotate, redline, convert an image; make a movie, view, covert or edit a CGM file, or build a presentation in one application. EasyCopy can now import AutoCAD files and convert them to any format it supports.
Emacs is a text editor, and more. It can be configured to do a number of tasks besides just text ediitting.
Enscript Printing Utility
What is Enscript? Enscript converts text files to PostScript and spools generated PostScript output to the specified printer or writes it to file. If no input files are given, enscript processes standard input. Enscript can be extended to handle different output media and has many options which can be used to customize printouts. Where is Enscript? Enscript is available on all engineering UNIX workstations. It is also available on Windows systems if you ssh to scully. Using enscript Enscript has many options. Some of the more useful are: -r landscape mode, rotate page 90 degrees -1,-2, --columns=num specify how many columns each page should have Sample: enscript -2r foo.txt See the man pages for enscript for additional options
EPANET
EPANET is a program developed and distributed by the Environmental Protection Agency. EPANET can be used to model and simulate water piping systems of any size. It includes features such as calculating energy costs and friction head loss. EPANET can be found on all the DECS lab machines, installed by the DECS Support Office, or can be downloaded for free by anyone who wishes to use the software.
