CDE is a desktop environment manger that provides windows, workspaces, controls, menus and the Front Panel. Each window is a seperate shell to the operating system. The workspaces allow the user to organize windows for different functions. The controls and menus manage the opbjects and windows. The Front Panel is a collection of frequently used controls available in evry workspace.
